谢谢两位的回答,我查了一下资料,发现了下面的译文.Let the ruler be a ruler,the subject a subject,the father a father,the son a son.我觉得这个更准确点.另外谢谢foxbird,狐狸鸟先生(是这个意思吗?),呵呵。

意思有点偏离.四纲的本意是指分清阶级地位不能僭越.而你的翻译的意思似乎偏向于各司其职工作范围不能混淆.
简单点的翻译:The emperor is the emperor,the minister is the minister,the father is the father,and the son is the son.似乎偶老师是这么子讲的.emperor应该加the,因为是特指.其他几个the和a都可以.
顺便提醒一下,并列短语最后一个用and连接的时候,前面应该加逗号,并列单词则不必.
